Jamaica is a monarchy, which means they have a queen or a king. I talked to Queen Elizabeth II. She tells me that the island of Jamaica have got a lot of sun, many beaches, and lots of reggae music.
I wrote our little conversation down on a notepaper, this is what it sounded like:
Me: Oh, hello! I recognize you from somewhere? Oh, yes, you are Queen Elizabeth II! Elizabeth: Yes that’s true, and who are you, my young lady? Me: My name is Malin Persson, and I’m a tourist from sweden. Elizabeth: Oh, welcome to Jamaica Malin! How do you like my island so far? Me: I think it’s a pretty little island, with lots of good-looking boys in swimming-pants and stuff, you know? Elizabeth: Yes, I know, this is my favourite part of the country, actually. Me: I see, well, would you mind if I asked you some questions? Elizabeth: No, of course not, go ahead and ask. Me: Which country are you born in? Elizabeth: In a matter of fact, I was born in England. Me: Okay, and what could you tell me about Jamaica, then? Elizabeth: Oh, it’s a very beautiful island with lots of beaches, filled with people listening to reggae music all day long. Our national anthem is “Jamaica, land we love”, and our liberty as an own island was declared on the 6th august 1962. Me: Thank you very much, your highness, and we’ll meet again sometime I hope. Have a nice day, goodbye to you! Elizabeth: No problem, dear. And yes, it was nice having a conversation with you. Have a nice day here on Jamaica, goodbye!
When I got to my hotel I remembered that i was going to have to call my mother. The full number if I would like to reach her would be: +46455-49934. The best time to call her would be around 2 PM.
